Which AI receptionists record calls?

For Call Assistant recording is optional and off by default, and for Frontly it's a paid add-on.
Which give transcripts but don't mention recordings?
9 more mention transcripts, summaries or voicemail recordings but don't say they record whole calls: noema, AnswR, AiDial, Chime Labs, TradieDee, Office Voice (Front Desk), AIVOX, AI Reception (ai-reception.au), Zylo AI.
Do I have to tell callers the call is recorded?
Generally yes. Recording laws differ between states, and Giday and Call Assistant both say their greeting tells callers. Check that your AI receptionist's greeting includes a recording notice, and get legal advice if you're unsure.
Where are the recordings stored?
Of the vendors that record calls, 5 mention Australia in what they say about data hosting: TalkMate, AI Call Centre, Reel AI, Call Assistant, Frontly. See Australian data hosting. Also ask how long recordings are kept. Vertical AI, for example, says 30 or 90 days depending on plan.
